Organic indigo is from the leaves of the indigo plant called Indigofera tinctoria. It is one of the oldest dyes known to humankind. It is also the only natural blue. Indigo can give clear blues that range from the tint of a pale sky to a deep navy that is almost black. Our indigo comes from a small village in Gui Zhou China. It is produced with traditional method passed down from generation to generation and it reduces beautifully in an indigo vat.
